Re Energized by Design {no.1}

I am in a competition!  Puget Sound Energy is hosting a design competition and I am helping a family make their selections.  My family is the adorable Peggy White and crew.  Peggy's husband passed away recently.  So her son, daughter-in-law, and their darling baby Owen moved into the family house.

The house was built in 1974 by Peggy's husband and contains a lot of really lovely memories.  The task of updating the house to make it more energy efficient while retaining those memories provided a challenge.  And if that wasn't a challenge enough, how about having three (ok, four with me) opinionated people making decisions together?!?  

It makes for a fun project.
