Bookalicious :: One Hour Cheese
I am that crazy girl who makes her one ice cream for a party. I make the treats for after t-ball. I make my own jam, my own pickles, and my own granola. I can honestly say I never even thought about making my own cheese until I got my hands on Claudia Lucero's new book One Hour Cheese. {and I even tossed around the idea of making my own hot dogs}
It turns out, making your own cheese is addictive. And delightfully simple. I've made the 'beginner's cheese' twice now. It's simple, quick {about twenty minutes!} and can be flavored with any herbs you have growing. A salad with blackberries, farmer's cheese, and arugula may be your newest summer salad! It's mine for sure - especially when I can say; "I made the cheese myself."
{cue everyone in the room rolling their eyes}
Unless, of course, you made your own cheese too. In which case, you and I can exchange knowing glances of how easy it is to make it yourself.
You can pick up a copy of Claudia's book online here. Or you can pop over to her book signings/personal appearances while she's in Seattle and meet her in real life.
