As Seen on TV :: Playtime with Children
Tune into Q13 FOX this morning at 7:45 and 8:45 to get loads of ideas for entertaining your children this summer!
I love hanging out with these three little people - they are a constant source of entertainment. But they also require a certain amount of entertainment. As the summer approaches and they are home all the time, I have a handful of suggestions to keep them occupied and entertained. Tune in to see all of them - and below are instructions for those with actual "recipes."
4 ounces Elmers glue
4 ounces water
1 teaspoon Borax
1 teaspoon hot water
Combine together the glue and the water in one container. In a separate container, dissolve the Borax in hot water. Slowly pour the Borax solution into the glue solution while stirring. The two liquids will begin to form a solid slime! You can add food coloring to the glue solution before combining if you want a colored slime. It will keep in an airtight container {like a ziploc bag} for about a week.
2 tablespoons cornstarch
2 tablespoons warm water
food coloring
Mix everything together {I use a canning jar with a lid} and paint outside with a brush! The paint will dry and look like chalk. Washes away with water.
Enjoy the summer! And tune in every Wednesday for an Endless Summer Project - a collaboration with Alexandra Hedin, Classic Play, Pars Caeli, Lulu the Baker, and This Heart of Mine to bring you fabulous summer projects for the whole family for the whole summer.
